Current Opportunities

Reports to: CEO
Location: Sydney CBD

  • Manage day to day support and operations for Calypsi’s clients ensuring our premium service offering is maintained, systems are secured and the client’s compliance requirements are met.
  • Liaise with and build report with client executives and VIPs ensuring their needs are being met and feedback for improvement or new opportunities is provided.
  • Identify opportunities within existing clients to improve infrastructure, security, compliance and end user productivity. Where applicable drive end to end project management from preparing proposals to effecting change.
  • Perform or assist with level 1, 2 & 2.5 support and project work as required to ensure SLAs and deliverables are met.
  • Champion Calypsi’s ITIL based procedures and own change control

Manage team members to ensure:

  • Service delivery is at or above targets and staff perform to KPIs
  • Adherence to high levels of security and controls
  • Active contribution to the improvement of Calypsi processes and technology stack
  • Staff are trained in policies, procedures and systems
  • High team morale and effectiveness

 

  • Drive innovation and learning within the team to ensure Calypsi staff are always at the technical forefront and are assisting clients to achieve more.
  • Administer and enhance Calypsi’s internal tools ensuring they are well maintained, secure, compliant, and continuously improved with best practise to increase productivity.
  • Manage the procurement lifecycle from request, quote, approval, purchase, delivery, asset allocation and end user acceptance.
  • Provide reporting on the operational status of the team and contracted deliverables to Calypsi management and assist with client Governance Risk and Committee reporting.
  • Work with the client and Calypsi vendors to understand the solutions they offer as well as troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Other work as directed by management

Qualifications and Experience

  • Min of 5 years of operational IT experience across desktop support and service desk activities (Lv 1, 2 and 2.5). No less then 3 years working in MSPs
  • Have a strong understanding of information security principles, security technologies and compliance requirements for regulated industries
    Demonstrated experience in working with client end users from junior to CEO and meeting expectations
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in MS Office 365, Intune, EOP, Security and Compliance
  • Be well versed in Microsoft 365 productivity suite
  • Hold an IT-related degree and can demonstrate a track record of continuous education and learning.
  • Min Certifications: MS-100, ITIL v3/4
  • Desirable certifications: If you don’t have these, we will work with you to create a plan achieve them. MS-500, AZ-103, AZ-140.
  • Vendor Experience – Connectwise, N-Able, Sophos, Fortinet, Auvik, any SIEM, Dell, HP etc
  • Experience working in Financial/banking industry experience is a bonus
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
  • Ability to perform a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level end user support to PCs and Macs including Line of Business Applications and peripheral support via phone, email, on site and remote support tools
  • Provide system administration and support of Active Directory, Office 365, Azure AD and Intune.
  • Monitor security and system alerts, action and escalate as required.
  • Liaise with vendors and other third parties to arrange repair of faulty equipment or restoration of service.
  • Log, action and resolve service requests via Connectwise so that the client and other technicians can understand or assist.
  • Create and maintain system and network documentation.
  • Maintain Operating System and 3rd party application security patching and develop automation to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure response and resolution targets are met while owning the issue and escalating appropriately.
  • Adhere to change control, compliance, operational and security procedures.
  • Perform desktop and laptop builds with SOE using deployment tools and Intune
  • Provide end user training for new starters and system upgrades (eg Office 365 productivity or new notebooks)
  • Assist with client security and compliance audits to align to Calypsi and clients with industry best practise
  • Undertake project work and be responsible for timely and accurate delivery.
  • Partake in security and market knowledge transfer within the team
  • This role requires some onsite presence at the client sites.

Skills You Will Need

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting support issues across numerous environments. Heavily prefer MSP experience.
  • Proven experience delivering outstanding customer service to all levels of end users either in email, over the phone or in person.
  • Outstanding written and communication skills and the confidence and ability to build report with all levels of client staff.
  • A thirst for knowledge and a desire to upskill in cloud technologies, security, compliance and infrastructure
  • A high level of initiative, ownership, accountability, attention to detail and ability to follow processes and instructions
  • Excellent analytic and trouble shooting skills and a desire to get it right the first time.
  • The ability to work well within a team environment as well as autonomously.
  • Able to build strong working relationships with team members and clients
  • Ability to work in an accountable and fast paced environment
  • Conscientious application of security and risk management best practices

Qualifications and Experience

  • Industry certifications in areas such as Microsoft (MS-103, AZ-103)
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management framework

Desirable

  • Working experience with Connectwise Manage, N-able, ITGlue, Sophos.

Role Split 60% project, 40% level 3

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities within the client’s environment to improve infrastructure and end-user efficiency, security and compliance and create scopes of work.
  • Design secure, scalable, and repeatable solutions to solve business and technical problems either on-premise, in the cloud (IaaS and PaaS) or hybrid.
  • Manage the effective delivery of projects for our clients and Calypsi on time and within budget
  • Comprehensively document solutions and train operational staff in deployed solutions
  • Provide reporting to stakeholders and ensure scope changes are documented and agreed
  • Provide support for operational technical issues across all systems escalated (ie lv3) from the support team and adhere to change control processes to implement solutions to ensure minimal disruption to the business.
  • Investigate and resolve security incidents and proactively improve infrastructure to align with compliance frameworks.
  • Lead technical innovation of Calypsi’s offering by keeping abreast of the latest technologies across infrastructure, security, compliance, communication and cloud and apply that knowledge to reduce risk and improve efficiency for clients.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Have a strong understanding of information security principles, security technologies and  compliance requirements for regulated industries
  • Strong evidence of learning new technologies quickly and efficiently implementing that knowledge into scalable and compliant solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of MS Office 365,Azure AD, Intune, Security and compliance
  • Experience with MS Azure design and operations in: IaaS, PaaS, Win virtual desktop, and security systems. Experience in CI/CD is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated track record of continuous education and learning.

Certifications

  • The more of these the better. MS-100, MS-500, AZ-103. , AZ-140, AZ-500, ITIL, CCNA, security certs. We will create a plan with you to achieve certs that you do not have.
  • ITIL v3 or higher
  • Experience with the following is desirable: Connectwise Manage, N-able,, ITGlue, Sophos, Meraki, Auvik, and any SIEM.
  • Experience working in the Financial/banking industry experience is a bonus
